What to Do Every Sunday to Ensure a Stylish and Fashionable Week
If you live in Nigeria, especially Lagos, you wouldn’t find the stress and struggles associated with Monday morning (or new week per se) very funny. I’m talking about heavy traffic that is the immediate cause of lateness to work (I’m a victim too ) . This has literally caused some women to lose their fashion and style sense, and you know we’re particularly interested in your sartorial life. For this reason I’ve put together the easy and necessary things that can be done every Sunday to achieve a smoother yet stylish new week.
#1. Do Laundry in the morning (or on Saturday before heading out for that owambe) :
If at all your laundry wasn’t done on Saturday, it’s more ideal to do it on Sunday morning. This will ensure your garments are completely dried for ironing – that is if you’re the dry cleaner. More so, If your clothes are with the dry cleaner, don’t wait till 6pm before asking for delivery – ensure they’re delivered on time, because it can be disappointing.
#2. Choose carefully at least three outfits you’ll wear during the week (that is, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday):
Choosing your outfits for the week on Sunday gives you a total stress free Monday morning, because you never can tell how stressful it would
be doing makeup, answering calls, replying emails and hurrying to make an 8am meeting. The good
thing is, you can always get your best outfits when taking the time to plan your outfits the Sunday before your workweek starts.
#3. Clean out your purse:
Even if you’re totally not the pack rat type, it’s curious how much stuff can accumulate in your purse. Start the week fresh with a clean purse by
removing all the receipts, hair ties, and loose change.
#4. Check your makeup kits, shoes and accessories:
Your accessories are the focal point of your looks.
Ensure to check your jewelries, shoes, belt whether there’s any cosmetic wear and tear to
avoid any fashion faux pas. Also check your makeup kits whether it would be sufficient throughout the week. If your shoes needs to be
polished, do it.
#5. Put your wardrobe back in order:
After taking time on Sunday to get yourself ready for the new week, we assume your closet would
get disorganized. Arrange it back and hang everything where it should be. With these tips, you are completely set for the week. No worries of what to wear on Monday or Tuesday, and getting late to work is minimized. And most importantly
you’re having a flawless and stylish new week.
Happy stylish week!
